Front Panel
  1. Power: Switches the Set-top Box (STB) in "standby mode" or in "power on mode".
  2. Menu: Launches or terminates the menu application.
  3. Standby / Power on indication light: Turns red while in "standby mode" and turns off while in the "power on mode"
  4. Message indication light: Turns orange when STB receives a message.
  5. Remote Sensor: Receives the infrared signal from Remote Control Unit.
  6. Arrow Keys: Navigates interface Left/Right and changes cursor position.
  7. OK: Activates a highlighted item or goes to next level on hypertext menu or to confirm the user's action.
  8. Infra Red Activity Indication Light: Turns green while in the "power on mode" Flashes green when receiving data from Remote Control Unit.
  9. Arrow Keys: Navigates interface Up/Down & changes cursor position.
  10. Smart Card Slot: Open flap and insert a Smart Card fully into the slot.
Rear Panel
  1. Antenna In: Input from Terrestrial Antenna. Connect to Cable Network of Active Antenna.
  2. Loop out & RF out:Terrestrial signal loop out & RF re-modulation out to TV set. Connect to RF Terminal of TV set.
  3. Component: Component Video (Y/Pb/Pr) Output Connect to component Video terminal of TV set
  4. LNB Input: Digital satellite signal input from Dish Antenna (LNB) to Tuner.
  5. Video: Composite video output to TV. Connect to composite video terminal of TV set.
  6. Audio L & R: Left & Right Audio output. Connect to Audio terminal of TV set or Hi-Fi Audio system.
  7. USB: Port for USB device.
  8. Loop out: Loop through output from digital Tuner.
  9. DC Jack: DC 12V input from Adopter. Connect Adopter plug.

Currently RELIANCE DIGITAL TV application is available for Android and Windows 8 platforms (PC’s, Laptops and Surface TAB), however it does not support windows 8 mobile. The Android application is supported on Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat based android device. The Windows 8 application supports Windows 8 surface tabs.

Currently, RELIANCE DIGITAL TV application is not available for Blackberry and Windows based smart phones.

Does this app work on specific mobile phones? Is it available for a TAB?
The android application supports all forms of android handheld devices including the TAB. However the Windows 8 application is supported on Windows 8 PC, Laptops & Surface TAB.

Is there a Registration fee to use this application? Is there a charge to download it for the first time?
There are no download, registration and usage charges for the application. However the data charges will be applicable as per your mobile/broadband data plans. Though the application can be installed by anyone, only RELIANCE DIGITAL TV customers can access all the features.

Will the user have to login every time he wants to use this RELIANCE DIGITAL TV application?
No, RELIANCE DIGITAL TV customers needs to login only once by providing their Smart Card Number and Nick Name

What will be my username and password?
You need to enter your smart card number as login and nick name to register the application for the first time. In case you want to change your nick name, uninstall & reinstall the application and register using the desired nick name. Further if you are advanced user you can delete the stored data and re-register using different nick name whenever you access the application next time.

Can all my family members use this application in their respective phones for controlling the RELIANCE DIGITAL TV connection in our house?
Yes anybody can download and install in their respective handhelds with the same smart card number; however the nick name should be different for each user. The application currently supports up to 5 users per SCN.

Will I be able to raise any service requests & track them?
You can send a request to raise service request by our CSR (customer service representatives). However in current version of application you cannot track your service request.

My application hangs intermittently? Displays server error?
Ensure that you have sufficient memory space left on your device for application to load all the data. As the data is loaded from the server to get the latest information you need to be connected hence it is recommended that you enable the data connection before launching the application. Also check your connection quality in case you are facing delays in loading the data.

Will someone call me if I send a request or complaint on the application?
Mostly you will receive these responses as a message in your application; however you may receive a call wherever necessary. To successfully receive these messages ensure that you have enabled the data connection and notifications (if available) in your device settings.

Will I get 24*7 support if I raise request through the application?
The requests received through the application will be taken on priority and shall be answered within 24 hours by our customer service representatives.

  • What other devices can be plugged into/used with the set-top box?
    Currently other than your television no other device can be plugged into/used with the set-top box.
  • Is there any pre-loaded memory in the set-top box?
    The standard set-top-box has no memory available. The HD DVR set-top-box has a 160 GB hard drive which can store up to 200 hours of content.
